MEPAA Music Center Open House Ribbon Cutting
The Music Education and Performing Artists Association opened the doors on the non-profit's first building Saturday May 7, 2022. The group marked the occasion with its first in-person concert since the start of the pandemic. Acts of Kindness: MEPAA's Unique Approach to Inclusive Arts Education
MEPAA is a music center focused on having a safe place to learn and perform music and the arts. The kids who attend enjoy the center so much that some pursue music as a career and others come back and teach. All of the current instructors are previous students and performers from the program. |

The Perfect Chord by FLUX Magazine, June 2022
GRRRLZ ROCK started in 2006 as a music festival that featured female artists and performers, giving women the spotlight to jam. From there, the festival sprouted into a year-round affair, thanks to Matrisha Armitage. Seeing the festival’s potential to grow into something bigger, Armitage developed what is now a multi-faceted music and performing arts nonprofit organization for people of all ages, abilities, gender orientations and backgrounds to learn music. |
