2024 Jam and Class Options
Our classes are customized to meet the needs of your student, please review the choices below and email us at [email protected] for class times and more details about your rock star so we can find the best option for them.
Due to limited capacity, some jams might be full. We will contact you with available openings upon completion of registration.
Monday & Friday Teen Jam
Explore various instruments, jam out on your favorite songs and learn a variety of genres while hanging out with supportive and experienced music mentors. Song choices vary week to week and students are encouraged to make suggestions. No musical experience required, all instruments and equipment are provided. Make new friends, learn new skills, and have fun jamming!
Wednesday Grrrl Jam (ages 12-18)
(performance group options available for interested students that requires an additional hour of class time)
In this class, students will get to play music with supportive and experienced music mentors while learning about a diversity of women musicians and songwriters in a safe space where they can explore various instruments and try out new skills with other grrrlz. No musical experience required, all instruments and equipment provided. Grrrl-identifying youth ages 12-18 are welcome, including trans and nonbinary youth.

Second Sunday Family Jam - Drop In (Music Exploration Workshop for Families)
Second Sunday of each month at 1:30 - 3:00 pm
(01/14, 02/11, 03/10, 04/14, 05/12, 06/09, 07/14, 08/11, 09/15, 10/13, 11/10, 12/15)
$5 - $10 suggested donation welcomed, but not required

2:00pm - 2:25pm - Guided Acoustic Song
2:30pm - 3:00pm - Guided Electric Song

Individual Music Lessons - Email us for availability (in-person or remote)
$25 per 30 minute lesson
MEPAA provides in person and remote instruction to students on instruments of their choice. MEPAA instructors are trained to customize lessons to follow student interest and keep music fun and engaging. Lessons start with songs and artists students enjoy and develop the skills to play along. Growth and direction of lessons are student driven. Financial assistance and scholarship options available. Donations make it all possible!
