Cathy Burns, President
Staff Accountant at Jones & Roth, long time supporter and parent of original youth program participant. Cathy gives us her guidance and has the ability to create calm and decisive action during any stressful time.
Sean Brennan, Vice-President
Sean holds a B.A. in Music, Jazz Studies, University Of Pittsburgh, and has twenty years experience working as a private music teacher and various music programs throughout the Lane County area. He provides off-site instruction and performance opportunities for ACE Charter School, other educational organizations, and youth in the Lane County area. Sean has been with the organization from the beginning and continues to be highly involved and active in all workshops and events.
Kat Tabor, Member At Large and Youth Representative
Kat is a long-time participant with MEPAA programs who advocates for youth empowerment, expression in music, and visual arts and is self-employed as jewelry maker. Kat is currently attending New Hope Christian College, and has previously worked with youth at Willamalane as swim instructor, lifeguard and program supporter. Kat has played bass in jazz bands and trumpet in wind ensemble and marching band. Kat credits her growth to MEPAA programs and mentors, "MEPAA opened me up to performing and showed me that I can put myself out there." Since her first visit to GRRRL Jams, Kat became an instant member of the MEPAA family. Performing with program bands, volunteering at events and supporting other students. She has been a dedicated team member and is now the official Youth Representative on the Board of Directors. We are honored to have them on the team supporting the MuseArt program and in training to become our future Development Assistant.
Patricia (Pat) Frishkoff
Pat is a retired business professor from OSU, and has devoted her retirement time to serving as a Community Volunteer for Looking Glass, Ophelia’s Place, Delgani String Quartet, and Grassroots Garden. She is active with 100 Women Who Care Eugene/Springfield, and the Yachats Ladies Club.
Her focus is primarily in Development. While at OSU, she raised over $5 million for the Center for Family Enterprise, which she founded in 1986 and led until her retirement in 2002. She holds a BA from St. Lawrence University (Economics), and a Ph.D. in Business from Kent State University. She started music taking piano while in elementary school, and added brass in middle school. She played (and marched) in band and drum and bugle corps. In college, she played Baritone, even at the NY World’s Fair. She describes herself as creative and gusty. She is a successful grant writer, and has experience with published research and articles. She will NEVER agree to be Secretary or Treasurer. Her focus has always been, and will remain, on youth.
Nancy Meston
Nancy is a Mortgage Loan Officer with Selco Community Credit Union, and a lifelong musician and community volunteer who has supported MEPAA in many capacities including mentorship, performances, administrative positions, event management and financial oversight. She has previous board and volunteer experience with Oregon Mortgage Assoc., Eugene Assoc. of Realtors, and Neighborhood Economic Development Corp (NEDCO).
Connie Fehlman, Member
Edward Jones Financial Advisor and long time sponsor of festival events, Connie knows how to get out into the community and show her support!
Cody Webb, Member
Cody was an original Kidz Rock participant and performer turned mentor and now board member. Cody and his family have provided years of constant support and dedication to MEPAA.
