Summer 2022
Summer Rock Camps
MEPAA Summer Rock Camps give students a chance to try out various rock band instruments, learn new skills with their peers and create their own bands. Camps will also include visual arts activities such as band poster/logo design. Students will learn to cooperate as a team, experiment with various instruments and genres of music in a safe space with professional music mentors ready to support their interests with no judgement or competition of any kind.
No experience required, all instruments and art supplies provided. Parents are responsible for all transportation and students need to arrive on time and be picked up on time. Students need to bring their own light snack, especially if they have dietary restrictions. Basic snacks and drinks will be provided. If a student cannot attend both weeks of camp, please let us know and we can work to make arrangements.

MEPAA Summer Rock Jam Fridays are perfect for the older rock star teen who is not into being in a full on "camp," and still wants to connect with peers and rock out during the summer months. Age exceptions can be made for younger students with parental approval. Jammers will have a chance to try out various rock band instruments, learn new skills with their peers and create their own bands and set lists. Students will learn to cooperate as a team, experiment with various instruments and genres of music in a safe space with professional music mentors and teacher ready to support their interests and learn at their own pace.

Family Jam Sundays (Music Exploration Workshop for Families)
$10 - $15 per person sliding scale, one class per week on Sundays, 1 - 2:30 pm
Enjoy a musical afternoon with the family in this special weekly hour-and-a-half rock camp style workshop! You will learn songs together in a group setting with experienced and supportive musicians that want you and your family to have fun and explore a variety of instruments while playing family-friendly songs together. No musical experience necessary, all instruments provided, songs vary on a weekly basis and include one acoustic and one electric song choice each week.
MuseArt Mondays (Visual Art Workshop with Musical Inspiration for All Ages)
Enjoy a musical afternoon with the family in this special weekly hour-and-a-half rock camp style workshop! You will learn songs together in a group setting with experienced and supportive musicians that want you and your family to have fun and explore a variety of instruments while playing family-friendly songs together. No musical experience necessary, all instruments provided, songs vary on a weekly basis and include one acoustic and one electric song choice each week.

All ages welcome, low sensory music for sensitive ears and fun for the whole family! Basic art supplies provided, you are welcome to bring your own items as well. No spray paints or chemicals that create a smell in a group environment.

Growth and direction of lessons are student driven.
Group Music Workshop (at MEPPA or other locations)

Youth "Build-A-Band" Program
Have you always wanted to be in a band? We just made it easier. We are always looking for new talent and diverse musicians of all ages for forming new bands or expanding current projects. This program is currently offered only for youth ages 21 and under. The program is in the process of rebuilding, so please be patient with our team.
